I'm Completely Pissed Right Now.

This has nothing to do with the Red Sox. You know why I'm pissed? I was just about to publish the article of the millenium when something unspeakable happened--I have no idea what happened. My browser inexplicably went back about 3 times, and when I went forward to where I thought my post would remain, I was actually taken to Ryan's beautiful picture of some beach in Argentina. Not that the picture isn't nice, but I literally spent a good hour on that masterpiece. Now that I'm officially too pissed off to write it all again (besides, you can't strike genius twice--the result wouldn't be nearly on par), I'll just sum it up for you.

The Red Sox need to go after the following players, and hopefully obtain some of them this offseason: Teixeira, Holliday, Atkins, Peavy, Sabathia, Sheets, Lowe, Saltalamacchia, Teagarden. If not Salty or Teagarden (one of the best last names ever, I might add), then we have to watch the progression of Luis Exposito, widely regarded as our best catching prospect--or maybe even George Kottaras. Exposito is a few years away, as he's currently in single-A. Kottaras is probably more MLB-ready. Another thing--call up Bard or Bowden, put them in the 'pen, and see what happens.

Patrice Bergeron is a refreshing sight to see in Black & Gold--and Phil Kessel is living up to all the hype. David Krejci is a pleasant surprise for the B's. I also might be the only contributor who cares.

I'm still not sure what to think about the Patriots. I am sure, however, that I will seriously consider watching all national television broadcasts involving a New England based sports team on mute. Honestly, why do announcers hate our teams so much? Opposing fans can hate them, but when people are supposed to be unbiased...shouldn't they be just that (this has nothing to do with last night's Patriots game, but mostly the ALDS and ALCS)?

Northeastern (3-0-1) beat BC (2-1-0) in men's hockey, 4-3. BC was the #1 ranked team in the nation, and the score doesn't even begin to describe the pure domination by my Huskies. However, USCHO.com still ranks my beloved dogs (#14 now--#11 in USA Today) below such juggernauts as 1-1-2 Miami (OH), 0-0-0 Princeton, and the 2-2-0 Michigan State Spartans. I suppose beating the #1 ranked team in the country the night after handily beating Providence 4-0 isn't quite as good as not playing a single game, or even tying Ohio State and Vermont, or maybe losing to UMass-Lowell. I know rankings don't mean much at this point in the season, but I'd just like to see the Huskies get a little more respect. For Ryan, in case you didn't know...UNH is at #4 at 3-0-0. I will also have you know that I root for UNH unless they play NU, because I am required to be a UNH fan due to my New Hampshire citizenship.

I assume people who are bad drivers are also stupid people, thus forcing me to hate them*.

That is all.

*Note: There are people that are my friends that are also bad drivers--however, in my own defense, I didn't know they were bad drivers until I had befriended them. Thus, we discover that not all bad drivers are stupid--but unless a bad driver is my friend, I'll still assume the worst and hate them, since not hating them holds the same benefits as hating them, and making sarcastic comments to myself about terrible drivers is an absolute gas.

Your last line really cracked up. I chuckled and clapped my hands with laughter.

-I'm not happy about not getting the full Timbo article experience.

I definitely DO care about the B's!

I don't think Derek Lowe would come back to Boston- I'd be down with getting any of those other guys for sure. With a lot of salary come off of the books this winter we an afford to make a big splash.

I'm in need of good sports watching session with you Tim. The blog kind of keeps me going, but it's just not the same. I love our constant play by play which dominates whatever other conversation is trying to be held in the room, and the verbal shredding of opponents, referees, announcers, and latino short stops playing for the Red Sox.

ps NEU is definitely my favorite college hockey team in Boston- I like the underdog- though apparently now they're beating the trash out of their opponents.

Yea, Lowe was a long shot, but he'd be a good fit if it worked out. And I knew you cared about the B's, but I'm not sure anyone else does...it's just not a hockey town anymore.

When are you back from Arg? I feel like we could really benefit from a nice SNF or MNF viewing while making fun of Tony Kornheiser and the opposition...and Julio Lugo, just for fun.

Also, I'm glad to hear that the Huskies are your favorite Boston team. That means that we have yet another connection, because, as mentioned, my favorite team outside of NU is UNH. Good stuff.

I will be back in town on Sunday December 7th. When does your co-op end? Because I am definitely down for watching some ball.

Me vs. you in fantasy this week too. The Durdens have been slipping as a of late, but I think they'll pull it together for this one.

I'm done co-op the 23rd, then it's back to class the 5th. I'm on vacation Dec 27-Jan 4 though.

I'll be very surprised if your team doesn't beat mine this week. I've elected to play Matt Ryan over Eli Manning, simply because Eli is playing the Steelers. Aside from that, Greg "I'm the F*cking Man" Jennings is being replaced by my team's namesake, Amani Toomer (Jennings has a bye). My other two receivers? Steve "Chicken" Breaston and Lee "No real suitable nickname" Evans. Evans has been good, but I can't expect much more than 20 total points out of my receivers this week. Chalk it up as another loss for It Feels Like A Toomer. Unless Slaton and McGahee run train, which is possible (McGahee vs. Oak, Slaton vs. Cincy).

That said, Le'Ron "The Misplaced Apostrophe" McClain can be officially dropped. He's no longer a vulture candidate.
