I Hate the Spread Offense

I hate the spread offense. UNH runs it, and apparently the Patriots run it too. Shotgun. Three, four or, five wide. Short passes and draws. Awesome. No real running plays, few deep passes, 3 yard gains on draws, lots of 6 yard completions and incomplete passes. To me this just isn't fun to watch.

The Pats have run the ball only 30% of the time this year. No wonder Brady can't find anybody open- they already know he's passing.

On one hand, you're right. RUN THE F*CKING BALL, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT'S WORKING (see week 2).

On the other hand, teams knew they were passing in '07, and Brady still threw 50 TDs. I attribute this year's lack of success to rustiness on Brady's part.

PS. The Pat's OC SUCKS. No way around it. "Oh, Fred Taylor just gained 23 yards on 2 carries? Get him out of there, I want to see if they can stop the pass (they did). Did they stop the pass? They did? Alright, let's keep passing."
