It's time to panic. We have played 31 of 162 total games and the Red Sox are in fourth place. After a long winter of defensively minded team rehabilitation and a 15-16 start, the Red Sox are sunk, hopeless, and forced to play 131 more games without hope of turning things around. Can you believe it? I for one, cannot.
Forget that we have a MVP just one year removed in Pedroia, Youk, one of the better hitting catchers in the AL, the reigning stolen base champ and oh yeah Josh Beckett, Jon Lester, John Lackey, and Clay Buchholz because we are sunk! I'm telling you write them off now right now. Hang Theo, release Ortiz (actually, do release Ortiz), make an ill-advised trade, but please do something now (right now!) to save this team from ruin!
