Must See TV? Barkley Colonoscopy to be Televised

Yes the headline is real. Charles Barkley will take part in a televised colonoscopy for a "Stand up to Cancer" special being aired on September 5th. Barkley's exam will be aired on three major networks (NBC, CBS, and ABC) to help raise awareness for colonoscopies, which screen men everywhere for prostate and other various cancers.

Barkley is said to be happy to do this procedure to help raise the awareness of colonoscopies. But should viewers be happy to see it?

I for one will be a viewer of this program and hopefully Charles' bravery to undergo this procedure on national television will convince all us male knuckleheads that a colonoscopy is a vital examination as we grow older.

I am, in no way, going to watch this program. It's not even going to cross my mind. I would see what I ate for breakfast, lunch, and dinner all over again.

What is this world coming to, televising colonoscopies? And why is Choor watching?

If this is something you made up Choor, than you are a reasonably intelligent individual making a clever commentary on the pathetic state of American television and the never ending stream of 'reality' tv products. However, if you are serious... I am speechless.

Obviously I'm all for raising cancer awareness, but seriously, a televised colonoscopy? What are they going to show, his face? His ass? The footage from the mini camera? This is absolutely ridiculous.

Why do you want to watch it Choor?

Unfortunately, he didn't make this up.

Fox Sports might have made it up, but Choor most certainly did not.
