I`m Dying. Figuratively! In Peru

Who wouldn`t want to travel South America for three weeks, see the world a bit, and find out what life is outside of our US of A? Actually, probably plenty of Americans are more than comfortable sleeping in their own bed every night, speaking English, and having a clue what they are putting in their mouth every meal. But I decided it might be fun. And for the most part it has been. I`ve travelled to cities I`ll probably never see again, ate foods I`ll never want to eat again, travlled on a boat on like Titicaca, and had the chance see some of our world`s great marvels. Did I enjoy being on a bus seven hours a day for seven sraight days? Of course not. Will I laugh about it a few months from now (once I`ve made a full psychological recovery)? Absolutely.

There are things I miss from home like my family, friends, paved roads, and of course- sports. Yeah I can check the internet every few days and look at box scores, and read some Bill Simmons, but it's not the same. Am I pathetic loser for not simply enjoying a once in a lifetime travel experiecne? Perhaps. Do I annoy you when I repeatedly ask myself quesitons? I wouldn't doubt it. But when you´re in South America and all you can dream about is playing football or watching the Bruins on an HDTV you've never even seen- you have a problem. That`s me.

I can`t help it.

Sports are more important than life experiences...we all know that.
