Surprise, Surprise.

I don't want to pat myself on the back, but I will anyway. I will officially take credit for essentially calling Dustin Pedroia as the AL MVP about a year and a half ago. You may say "Ya, right, liar" now, but even when D-Ped was batting .160 in April of 2007, I had him pegged as an MVP.

I should seriously pursue a career as a Major League Baseball scout.

But honestly, congrats on the MVP, Dustin. You're my boy. Hopefully we can party at Game On! next year after the Sox win another playoff series.

I've heard good things about Ramirez from reporters and Royals fans alike. 92-95 mph fastball with a good changeup or splitter (I've heard both--either way it's 87-88 mph with hard down action) as a strikeout pitch...he does walk guys though. Either way, he's better than Aardsma and Timlin (by about 4.5 ERA points).
