Opening Day Take 2

All night Sunday night I waited (rather impatiently) for Monday's Opening Day to come. Now that the truth is out on Santa, my two most highly anticipated days of the year are 1. the first Sunday of the NFL and 2. Opening Day. I planned on skipping my 3:30-5:00 class to not miss any of the action. So, at 2:00 when my "last" class of the day ended I ran (yes, I ran) straight from the door of building of the language department past dozens of confused students to my dorm, up the stairs, and dove to reach the remote and immediately tuned into ESPN so I wouldn't miss the first pitch. Delay of game on Mother Nature- 26 hours- automatic boring afternoon.

But today I'm ready. We've got number 19 on the hill. We've got Petey, Youk, and Papi swinging, and an army of arms in the bullpen ready should Beckett falter.

It sure as hell is gonna be fun year with the projected three team race in the East, and I couldn't be happier that we're starting the year off against the Rays... well unless the Rays were the Yankees, that would be better.

Bring it on Tampa!

Other Notes:
CC Sabathia? I hope yesterday was an indication of what's to come... I don't think it was, but hey, I can dream.

Kevin Millwood is the best starting pitcher on my fantasy team this year. Though he pitched damn well yesterday, I clearly have the worst staff in the league. Ooch.

Welcome Wally.

Questions:
Tim (and anyone else for that matter)- hit me with your projections for Pedroia and J Lester.

Pedrioa .313 14 hr 72 rbi 15sb a ton of 2b
Lester 18-7 3.65 era / more strikeouts than last year 1 hr (hit) in interleague play

Pedroia - .320, 19 HR, 92 RBI

Lester - 17-5, 3.25 ERA, 175K

Those are completely random, not even thought about projections.
