Before game six against Chicago, tickets for the potential game seven at the TD Banknorth were going for about $70 on stubhub.com. A little pricey for a first round game? OK. Would I pay that to much to see a game seven, well yeah. But this isn't what happened. I deluded myself into believing that the Celtics bench could provide more than 11 points, and that the Celtics ENTIRE frontcourt wouldn't foul out: what was I thinking right? The Celtics were going to win game six, so why should I bother buying tickets for a game seven that wasn't even going to happen? I shouldn'tve, and I didn't.
Dozens of fouls, 51 points from Ray Allen, a timid Rajon Rondo, a nasty dunk by Joakin Noah, and a sick block by Derrick Rose later and the Celtics and Bulls going to a game seven- the most epic round 1 game seven ever. Woops.
Now those same tickets which were going for about $70 Thursday afternoon are going for well over $150. I'll be here at home. Watching the Celts playing for their lives on my 25 inch Zentith.
Woops.
p.s. Dear Brad Miller,
You are not good.
You suck,
Ryan
